Matcha private label packing referencePlan the run, not the rumour

Bulk and branded packs have different minimums. Know which one you need before asking for a price.

Reference numbers

Indicative MOQ and FOB ranges.

These reflect common Chinese matcha private-label practice. They are not a price list — use them to frame the conversation and check a quote.

Bulk private label

From around 50 kg per lot for unbranded bulk matcha. Indicative FOB often lands near US$18–30/kg for latte/culinary grade and US$35–60/kg for premium whisking grade, depending on tencha base and spec.

Branded packs (tins / sachets / pouches)

Subject to print minimums on the packaging itself — commonly from a few hundred to a few thousand units per design. The tea MOQ and the pack MOQ are separate numbers; the larger one sets your true first order.

What drives the quote

Grade direction, particle size, organic scope, lot documents, pack format and print run, destination market, and monthly volume estimate. Two briefs that look similar can quote very differently.

Confirm per lot

MOQ, price, documents and lead time must be tied to the actual lot and pack. A sample approved on paper but not matched to a lot number is a risk on the bulk order.

Inputs that turn an enquiry into a quote

Your target retail or café price, pack size, monthly volume estimate, destination market, desired launch date, and whether we pack or ship bulk. Send those and the reply is a number, not a question.

Recommended first move

Pick one SKU outcome, write the format, and open a Product Brief. We reply with the next useful step — sample, spec, or a clarification question.
